This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines acceptable and unacceptable use of Umi Data, Umi Cowork and the Umi website. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. General rule
Use the Service for lawful, legitimate business purposes. You are responsible for the actions of the AI agents you configure and for the content you upload.
2. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Break any law or regulation in any jurisdiction that applies to you or to Umi.
- Build, train, or operate AI systems for illegal or harmful purposes, including fraud, phishing, scams, disinformation campaigns, harassment or stalking.
- Generate or distribute content that sexualizes minors, incites violence, or coordinates harm against people or property.
- Develop weapons, malware, or tools whose primary purpose is to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems.
- Infringe intellectual property rights, or process data you lack the legal right to use.
- Impersonate others or deceive people about who authored AI-generated content.
- Attempt to compromise the security of the Service, other customers, or third parties.
3. AI-specific rules
Agents must operate within the permissions and approval policies configured in your workspace. You may not configure agents to bypass safety controls, extract personal data without a lawful basis, or generate content that violates the rules above at scale.
4. Resource limits
You may not attempt to disrupt or degrade the Service, probe its security, or consume resources beyond the limits of your plan.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action including content removal, suspension or termination, without prior notice where the law or urgency requires it. We report illegal content to the competent authorities when required.
6. Reporting
To report a violation, write to the security email address in the site footer.
